Terms of use
Our Company is committed to respecting the privacy of all visitors to our website www.adviser.gr and to protecting any personal data you may provide to us. We believe it is important for you to know how we handle the information about you that we may receive through this website, and the data processing practices we apply when using the Internet and other electronic communication networks.
Information we collect from you
As a rule, you can visit www.adviser.gr without revealing your identity or personal details. Our web servers record domain names, not the e-mail addresses of visitors. We may also collect information about you from e-mails or letters you send to our official address info@adviser.gr, or from the website’s contact form, but only with your explicit consent and where this is necessary to offer you our services. This information is collected through physical or electronic documents and each time you send us an e-mail containing your personal details. It may include your full name, home address, telephone and fax number or e-mail address. You are not required to provide any additional information that is not necessary or reasonable for us to provide the services you have requested.
Non-personal information
When you visit this website, some information that cannot be linked to a specific person (non-personal information) may be collected, which helps us provide a better service to our visitors. This information is used and analysed only in aggregate, to understand trends and patterns, and is not examined at the level of individual users. It is collected using various technologies, in particular “cookies”, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. More specifically:
Cookies
Cookies are small sets of data, in the form of an anonymous trace, that a website can send to the user’s browser, where they are stored and through which the user’s device – but not the user personally – can be recognised. We use cookies to make our website work as well as possible and to let users browse and move between pages correctly. Cookies are also used to analyse how visitors use our website, how they navigate and whether they encounter any problems. This information is used only to improve the structure and content of the website. Cookies are stored on the user’s device and can be removed at any time via the “Settings” or “Privacy and security” section of any browser. Cookies do not store e-mail addresses or telephone numbers. The cookies we use are:
1) Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the website to work properly and for users to browse it and use its features. They include storing your cookie choice. They do not require consent.
2) Performance and statistics cookies. These collect information about how visitors use the website, for example which pages they visit most often and whether they encounter errors. They are aggregated and used only to improve how the website works. They are activated only if you click “Accept” in the cookie notice.
3) Functionality cookies. These allow the website to remember choices the user makes (for example language) and to provide more personalised features.
4) Targeting and advertising cookies. These are used to deliver advertisements (Google Ads, Facebook) that are more relevant to users and their interests, to limit how often an ad is shown and to help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They are set only with your consent.
You can give or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the page. Users can also disable cookies entirely in their browser; in that case some websites may not work properly.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that make it possible to analyse how the site is used. This information relates in particular to the region from which users connect and to the duration and frequency of visits, and cannot identify any individual. It is used and analysed only in aggregate. The information may be transferred to Google servers outside the European Union, subject to the safeguards provided for by the GDPR. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google may provide this information to third parties where required by law. No Google Analytics cookies are set without your consent.
Microsoft Clarity
We also use Microsoft Clarity, a service of Microsoft Corporation, which shows us anonymously how visitors move through our pages (clicks, scrolling, heatmaps and anonymised session recordings) so that we can improve the usability of the website. Contact form fields are masked in recordings. Clarity is loaded only if you accept cookies. More information is available in the Microsoft privacy statement.
Use of personal data when browsing the website
Personal data of users of www.adviser.gr is processed with the user’s consent. The domain name information we collect is not used to identify you; it is collected to count the number of visits, the average time spent on the website, the pages viewed and so on. This information helps us assess how our website is used and improve its content. If you voluntarily provide other personal data by e-mail or by filling in the contact form on our website, we will as a rule inform you at the time of collection how that data will be used. However, simply sending an e-mail or submitting a contact form does not make you our customer; it is therefore not in itself sufficient reason to add you to our database, nor do we keep your details for marketing purposes.
Please note: messages sent through a contact form are not covered by any kind of confidentiality. You should therefore not include sensitive information about yourself or third parties in your messages.
The legal basis for processing is mainly the performance of a contract where we provide our services to you; in some cases, however, we rely on our legitimate interest (e.g. safeguarding the security of our information systems) or on a legal obligation (e.g. disclosing data to the competent authorities). You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. More information can be found in our Privacy policy.
Confidentiality and security of personal data processing
Our Company is committed to protecting the personal information and data provided by users. To this end it has taken the necessary technical and organisational security measures for processing users’ personal data. All communication between the user’s device and our website is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). Personal data collected is stored on restricted-access, password-protected servers, and our Company uses specific technologies and procedures and applies strict physical, electronic and administrative security measures to protect this information against loss or misuse, and against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
